Hi trying to locate anyone that might have connections to the Swanson's that were from around this area. Pulled a Cert from Scotland's People and now I am trying to see if the one that I pulled could be my gggggreatgrandmother Helen Swanson.
Anyone with any connections hearing from you would be great.
Thanks
Jackie

Hi Jackie
Have you got dates / spouse or parents data.
I have some Swanson 1840+ so not as far back as your ggggg g/mother who would be 1700s I guess.

My main link to SWANSON is by marriage to MORE.

Tricia,

Hi Tricia thanks for replying. Yes My ggggrandmother would be in the 1700's, here is what the Cert says:
1747 Jan 25 Jo. Swanson in Sordel (Fordel)? Had his daughter Helen baptized. Witnesses
(Ian??? Wa????ner or possibly Donald McPherson) there and Margaret Swanson in Aukingill.

She (helen) and my ggggrandfather William Simpson started having their children in Canisbay but then moved over to Flotta in the Orkney Isle.

Any help on those Swansons would be helpful
thanks
Jackie
