"Simply unacceptable" say sheriff who imposed £180 fine
AN improper remark shouted from an upstairs flat, at two men passing, by teenager Christopher Goodbrand, cost him a £180 fine at Wick Sheriff Court today.
The 16-year-old admitted a charge of sexually-aggravated abuse. The court was told that the incident occurred in Albyn Court, Thurso, on March 28, this year.
David Barclay, prosecuting, said there was a party in progress in the flat and added that Goodbrand, who had been drinking, had possibly been “egged on” by some of the other guests.
Sheriff Andrew Berry warned the accused, a first offender, of 1 St John’s Avenue, Thurso, that such behaviour was “simply unacceptable” and that any repetition of it, would almost certainly result in him returning to court.
