Was in Thurso today and the only shoeshop left cannot measure kids for shoes.
Now having it drummed into me the importance of having properly fitting footwear as feet are growing (when you are still growing) isnt it needed a service to provide size and width fitting on shoewear ...mums can only guess so much on fitting and if we get it wrong it could lead to a lifetime of footwear problems!

Go to Gunn's in Wick then. Stewart Gunn provides a great service and won't let you out of the door with new shoes if they aren't right. They'll also check the old ones and will tell you if the old ones still have a wee bit of room left.

Totally agree with LMS - go to Gunn's in Wick. Been shopping there for years for my son (and me!) and we've always been happy with their shoes and service.

You can buy the foot measuring device from Clarks for circa £7, then measure yourself and buy the shoes online.

Treat them to the luxury of individually fitted footwear, the same way as a formula one drivers seat is made, but at a fraction of the cost, by buying them pairs of wellie boots, at least 4 sizes too big. Wrap their feet in clingfilm and apply to boots, then squirt half a can of expanding polyurethane foam down each boot. Leave to set, and hey presto! Perfectly fitting footwear!

How do you remove the boot?

With footwear that well fitted, you won't want to take them off.
