Solicitor Sylvia MacLennan said that Gallagher, of Lindos, Newtonhill, near Wick, had had a difference with his girlfriend earlier and his mind had not been entirely on his driving.

Gave false name to police
A MAN who "stupidly" gave a false name to police, was fined £150.
Kevin Alexander was reluctant to “engage” with officers when approached by them at his home at 16 Castle Street, Thurso, on July 12, during an investigation.
