Alleged to have attempted to headbutt police officer in Wick hospital
A PERTHSHIRE teenager is facing charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Dwayne Dow pleaded not guilty when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court, today.The charges allege that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in an ambulance travelling from Thurso to Wick, and assaulted P.C. Stephen Cooper by attempting to bite him. Dow, of Westwing, Pincacrea House, Balinluig, Pitlochry, also denies assaulting Constable Derek Fraser, at Caithness General Hospital by attempting to headbutt him.
The offences are said to have occurred between Sunday night and early
Monday morning. The accused, who is 19, was granted bail and will return to court for his
trial on February 6.
