Thurso won 5-2 this afternoon at Dornoch (due to The Dammies pitch being unplayable) in The Football Times Cup Second Round thanks for a double from Jamie MacKenzie, plus singles from Alan Murray (taking his season's total to 37 level with fellow striker Mark Nicholl), Phil Makhouli and a penalty from Allan Sutherland

Wick Academy weren't playing this afternoon but here is news of The Scotads Highland League fixtures played this afternoon from www.highlandleague.net

Locos go top of Higland League 19-Mar-2005

Inverurie Locos moved to the top of the Scot Ads Highland League with a resounding 7-1 victory of Rothes at Harlaw Park this afternoon. However, Huntly's winning streak continued as they maintained their momentum to keep the pressure on the top two.

Game of the Day, in theory, turned out to be a bit of a damp squib as the battle between mentor and pupil, Pele vs. Shearer, ended in a goalless stalemate. Elsewhere there were goals galore for Cove as they hit Keith for six with Martin Johnston bagging a hat trick in the process.

Deveronvale kept their title aspirations alive with a hard fought victory over Nairn. Champions Clach got back on winning ways with a comfortable two nil win over Lossie.

Scoreline: Deveronvale 3 Nairn County 1

Scoreline: Keith 2 Cove Rangers 6

Scoreline: Clachnacuddin 2 Lossiemouth 0

Scoreline: Huntly 5 Brora Rangers 0

Scoreline: Inverurie Loco Works 7 Rothes 1
