This story is scary, not for the soldiers but for us. All we need now is robots to scour Sandside beach for particles, drive Rapson buses for a bit of oil, take trawlers out, make more regular bin runs, patrol our streets, bring in cheap petrol and groceries and pick up litter from the streets and beaches. Then we'll be happy. But what happens if they turn on us? [para]

But all armies are already full of robots. The term 'robot' was created in the '20s by a Czech playwright to describe zombies who do drudgery work - sounds like your average soldier to me.

But what happens if they turn on us?
I can only assume that this was meant tongue-in-cheek?
