Where can I find a firm/someone who removes wasp nests. I have one on the corner of my house and I'm worried they will get in the attic. There's nothing in the phone book and the council don't do it,

Try the Council first; I think they should have a pest control officer on hand.

The council certainly used to do it. Suggest that you contact them if you have not already done so.

We had wasps in our garden shed, less than a year after it was erected. The wasps were "zapped" by spray, but folks around here said to leave the (deserted) wasps nest in place - as it acts as a deterrant for other wasps looking for a nest site. After 5 years, the deterrant effect is still working.

Thank you all. I got Caithness pest control from Thurso and they did it this afternoon with a long rod and spray stuff. Will see tomorrow if it worked.
