Wilson offered Queen of the South job

WICK Academy manager Barry Wilson has been given the chance to return to his old club Queen of the South... this time as its manager.
The shock news, broken by BBC Paul Barnes on the sports section of the BBC website, comes despite QUOS saying on its website today that no decision been made.
Wilson, who took the Scorries to their highest ever place in the Highland League table, third spot, in his first season, has been given 24 hours to make up his mind. If he does shift, it will be a bitter blow to Academy and their fans, buoyed by their team's fantastic performance this season.
It would be the second setback for the Harmsworth Park faithful and staff within a year. Davie Kirkwood caused a furore when he dumped Wick for derby rivals, Brora Rangers.
Forty-one-year-old Wilson who played for Queen of the South between 2008 and 2010, would, if he does decide to move, fill the managerial vacancy created by the departure of Allan Johnston to Scottish Premier side, Kilmarnock.
