Carers Week

This week its carers week. There are events and displays going on to highlight the wonderful job that those people who care for relatives, friends or neighbours. People doing this save the country millions of pounds a year and the aim of this week is to raise the profile of carers and help them access the support and help they may need to improve their lives. Caring can be hard work, emotionally and physically as well as financially. It can leave people feeling isolated and stressed. Carers charities try to address these issues by offering support, a listening ear and access to training or events which try to help carers be better informed, make new friends and get support with issues they may be struggling with.
