Alison, who lives with her husband Jon and family in South Street, Keiss, spoke about the battle her son Alex had to survive. He weighed only three pounds when he was born at Raigmore Hospital Inverness and spent seven weeks in a special care baby unit.

Liall Mackenzie was named boxer of the night when he won the first bout of his amateur career when he was part of the north of Scotland select team which took on north of Wales select at the Ironworks, on Saturday night.
