Shocking, but not surprising. I used to watch the American version of The Weakest Link and it amazed me the number of contestants that knew so little about the world around them, they were so bad they actually knew very little about their own country. I wonder just how bad the American education system is?

must have missed something - is there a link I am not able to open.

Some Americans are stupid, same as here in UK.

I am sure you could go onto the streets of the UK, ask similar questions and edit down the footage to the worst. Theres even some footage shot on the streets of Luton in a thread nearby here that would do the job.

I can assure you that Americans are not stupid. There are stupid people in every country in the world. There have been some brilliant Americans over the years.
Selective editing can produce any effect you want.

Providing that you do not make any jokes about the defunct football team that used to be called Glasgow Rangers.

What about the 62 Million who voted George W Bush in for a second term, or the 5 Million members of the National Rifle Association who can not recognise the fact that the more guns in circulation the bigger chance of yet another atrocity being carried out by "legally owned" gun toting psychopaths

There has never been a football team called Glasgow Rangers.

I stand corrected, it was not Glasgow Rangers that went belly up owing up to £134 Million. It was the "Rangers Football Club PLC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-18441178)" that went to the wall owing;
Administrators fees of £5.5M
Football debts £3.5M
HMRC £21.5M which might indeed rise, depending on HMRC appeal for £75M unpaid taxes
Ticketus £26.7M
Unsecured creditors £55M

I am sure that the unsecured creditors who lost £55 Million were not concerned what the trading name was when they realised that in a best case scenario that the most that they could expect back was 8 or 9p in the pound.
Hours after the creditors rejected this "arrangement" a new company appeared on the block "Sevco Scotland Ltd" who then proceeded to purchase the "assets" of "The rangers Football Club PLC" for a knockdown figure of £5.5M, then in July 2012 the name was changed again to "The Rangers Football Club Ltd"
Now it appears that Whyte was in cahoots with Green in al of this skulduggery.

Wonder what name they will be playing under next season?

They will never get anywhere near 8 or 9 pence in the pound, that figure was based on the acceptance of a CVA.
Where have you found evidence of Charles Green being in "cahoots" with Craig Whyte?, you had best pass that onto the QC's that are looking at the facts to see what’s what there.

Your figures quoted are so far off is unbelievable; anyone would think that you have plucked it from some website with clear agendas.

If you tally up your figures quoted you get to a total of £165.7m, in reality the figure is around the £57m mark including the HMRC FTT monies of £2m.

Many of the smaller creditors were paid out of the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund, however it is not clear exactly who or how much was paid.
All football related debts were paid by The Rangers Football Club.
Let’s also not forget that the SFA/SPL have withheld football monies due to Rangers Football Club to the tune of something like £2.5m.
Then there is also the fact the Craig Whyte is being investigated by the police regarding the purchase of Rangers Football Club which was believed to be fraudulent as he borrowed against the club without actually owning it, hence why Ticketus are chasing Craig Whyte personally for the money he borrowed (£26.7m).
And finally we have the lawsuit Rangers Football Club administrators have lodged against Collyer Bristow / Rangers FC Group for £25m in damages over the alleged fraudulent takeover.

The evidence is there in the official documentation and who knows what will happen if it turns out that the club did change hands illegaly, but hey let’s not let that get in the way of a good story.

Yes that's exactly who I mean.
I note the independent enquiry has dismissed your allegation of a collaboration between Green and Whyte.

So when are they going to sue BBC for libel/slander?

Is that why Whyte is in the process of issuing writ (http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/craig-whytes-lawyers-send-letter-action/4906) against Rangers.
It is a bit suspicious that Whyte suddenly resigned his position when Green first made his claims of being part of the company that bought assets

Whyte was never part of The Rangers FC so how could he resign?

Surely if the BBC had done such a hatchet job on, whatever name they were at the time, then they should sue to clear the good & honest reputation they have.
but I have just remembered, they are skint and shyster libel lawyers don't work on "no win no fee" basis
