Cousins to stand trial after denying sub-station crime
TWO north men have been accused of stealing copper from a rural electrical sub-station in Caithness.
Cousins Samuel McPhee, 46, of 4 Shelligoe Road, and 19-year-old Shane McPhee who lives at No 9, both Lybster village, pleaded not guilty when they appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court yesterday.
The charge alleges they stole copper tape and cable from the sub-station at Mybster, between April 4 and May 5.
Both were granted conditional bail and will return to court for their trial on August 8.
