Just read the above article, very interesting. Those who have dived around Scarfskerry will tell you that there is a large "bowl" there, just like the impact a spherical object would make if it impacted........too much of a coincidence?

Meteorites don't tend to form geological structures on the scale of this antiform. Folds such as the one at Scarfskerry are normally created at depth, where strata retain their ductility due to increased heat, and are altered during tectonic plate movement. It would appear that when what is now Dunnet head collided with the rest of caithness some of the layers got pushed up and folded. Considering the dip of the fold's axis, the layers have also been tilted after folding, so the geology of this spot is more complex than the typical caithness mudstone.
