Can anyone help?
I know exactly what I want to do with my daughters Child Trust Fund cheque, I want to invest it in a UK Stock Market Index Tracker. The problem is that the few I have tried to contact on the list are offering the service at a 1.5% p.a. service charge compared to the 0.5% p.a. I get from my legal and general index tracker ISA. Obviously a tracker needs very little management therefore lower charges? Has anybody found a site that compares the different companies? Unlike ISA rates that are shown on websites, you have to call or write to find out the rates.....
Over 18 yrs that extra 1% will be significant, especially if I invest more in the fund for the bairnie....
Any help appreciated.
