The Caithness Branch of Cats Protection is appealing for individuals who love cats and fancy a new challenge to volunteer for the charity. The branch is on the lookout for people to fill a range of roles including fundraisers, coordinator and treasurer and have organised informal events at The Norseman Hotel, Wick on Saturday 6 April and at The Park Hotel, Thurso on Saturday 13 April (both from noon to 2pm) so that people can find out more about volunteering for the charity.Though the branch works extremely hard to find new homes for all cats in their care, the task is very challenging since for every cat that finds a home, there are another two waiting to come in, hence the need for more volunteers to help them continue and expand their vital cat welfare work. The Caithness branch is part of Cats Protection’s national network of volunteer-run branches and adoption centres that look after 6,500 cats at any one time.If you would like further information about the events, or would like to volunteer to help Cats Protection’s Caithness branch but cannot attend either meeting, then please contact the branch on 0845 371 4217 or cpcaithness@gmail.com (cpcaithness@gmail.com) or PM therealducati
