Joining Academy..."an easy decision" says Wilson

WICK ACADEMY manager, Barry Wilson has been sharing his thoughts with Press and Journal sports writer Dave Edwards about his decision to extend his initial to-the-end-of-the-season stint, by two years.
Wilson said that it was "so easy" a decision for him to make that he could have taken the plunge after only four weeks in the job.
The former Caley Thistle and Ross County player, who owns a shop and post office in Dingwall, said that he had first to make sure that the business was in the right hands over the Christmas period, and the way was clear to the Wick job after he got things sorted.
Wilson says he was 'delighted' with the response he has received from the players and went on: “They reacted positively to me taking over and we all get on really well. They’re a good, close-knit bunch and everybody at the club is great.”
The travel north hasn’t been a problem, said the manager who replaced Davie Kirkwood after his defection to Brora Rangers.
Assistant Richard Hughes takes the training on a Monday night while first-team coach Gordon Connelly and Wilson go up on Wednesdays ahead of everyone coming together on Saturdays.
Wilson says it is going to be “extremely hard” for the current, table-toppers to win the league title but with 10 games to go, he says they are "in with a chance".
