its a hell of a big crane to move and the road surface may be damaged too. Trafficscotland hasn't updated since 14:30 unfortunately but it was still a problem at 17:45 as my mate's job was called off when he got stuck in the queue

Many thanks to the people in Port Gower who opened the hall and made tea and coffee for those waiting in the queue. It made the waiting more bearable. Also grateful thanks to the bus driver Benny who got everyone on the bus to the correct destinations after a long wait.

Police told us take the old glen loth road .they told us its about 10-15 miles after driving in a queue
of traffic through the hills the snow got the better of most .we had to push cars up hills to keep going
.there was hardly a laybye to turn back then the cars starting coming from the other direction .on a single lane old road .when we finally got signal to get help they told us the road was closed (to dangerous )
well done the police another disaster

Aye, brave driver but then again he knew the vampires would have been waiting to pounce if he stopped!.....
