A happy New Year for Bower's Norscot

THE start to the New Year has proved to be a happy one for Caithness window and door manufacturer, Norscot Joinery with the news it has signed contracts worth more than £1 million.
Much of the work is in the public sector. Highland Council has contracted the company to work on schools at Rosebank, Nairn and Kingussie. A two-year framework deal has also been signed with Moray Council initially providing timber windows for homes at Lossiemouth.
And following the completion of a £1milion contract to build 23 detached timber-frame homes for Natural Retreats at John O’ Groats, Norscot have agreed a second deal to provide the timber frame structure for a further 19 self-catering chalets.
The business boost expected to add an additional six jobs to the firm’s payroll.
Managing director Ian Body commented that the contracts had been won against stiff competition.
