Who is responsible for testing a potentially faulty gas meter??

I have a commercial premises with mains gas supply and have serious doubts over the readings on the meter. Does anyone know who is liable for having the meter checked by an engineer, would it be my gas supplier or would I have to fork out for this myself??

I would say the supplier would be responsible, though if it's under reading then just turn a blind eye... lol
