Hi

A few years ago I took a wildlife tour in a RIB from a company that worked out of John O Groats. Does anyone know if they are still around, or if it's just the JOG ferry now? I've got family coming up (including my niece who has never visited Scotland before) and would like to take them out to have a look-see :)

Also planned a trip to Dunnet Head and maybe Camster Cairns. She loves her geocaching too so we will be heading around and about for that. If anyone else can think of something a ten year old tourist might enjoy then suggestions are appreciated. She's very excited!

The RIB got stuck in a sea cave a couple of years ago when its reverse malfunctioned, everyone was rescued and the boat sank. Company folded after that.

The wildlife tour starts in May by JOG Ferries (not sure when your family is visiting?) The new RIB (run by Natural Retreats) has started going out on sunny days when the sea is calm. It is reputed to be excellent and goes around Stroma and then to the stacks.

And of course, there's the ice cream at Groats - guaranteed to please any 10 year old;)
