What about having a go at making them yourself? You can get full instructions from the internet or possibly a book from the Library. I know a few people who have done this and it does make a difference to the price. Don't be frightened of having a go; you can get all the materials locally if you want to support local business or there is a wide variety of materials available on the web. Good luck if you do.....

Good point Torvaig. The Ikea ones are not very expensive. In fact we just gave away a bunch to a charity shop because we finally got round to buying venetian blinds instead, and when I was folding them up to put in a box I was amazed how simple they are.
