Does anyone know where you can get a good aerial photo of your property?
Is there anyone locally that goes up regular and will take snaps if arranged?
In England it's quite common for people to get cold callers at the door offering ridiculous priced prints of aerial views of your property, taken by themselves.

I'd love one of this place as it stands now.
I'd also love one from around 4 years ago before the land was touched. Anyone know where I can get one??????????

I believe there is someone in Caithness or who visits Caithness and does aerial photography. I am sure there are images somewhere on the main site taken recently. Perhaps they may provide a 'to order' service?

I'll have a look to see if I can find the pics.

Err this is either spooky or coincidence -

Cant remember what price he was but he usually advertises in the Groat when he is coming to the area. The more people he gets I think he charges less?

http://local.live.com/ gives a good aerial view of our house but the coverage is a bit patchy - fun looking at friends and families houses on google earth as well.
There is also a guy called Bob Simpson who may well have a photo of your house if its a little bit in the wilds 01871 781 1154 is the no. on the back of an aerial photo we have from 2004.
good luck

About a month ago we had someone knocking at the door with an amazing aerial photo of our house. Didn't buy it as we were a bit strapped for cash. The photo was taken early summer 2006.

It was someone from Ardersier near Inverness airport.

Don't know if they'd have a picture of your house.

Contact e-mail is photos@phillis.plus.com or telephone 01667 462070.

Good luck!

The good thing about being strapped for cash is you often get the pic cheap,
I paid £40 for ours to be told later by a mate that he paid a fiver for his!

Told them we couldn't afford it at the time, but unfortunatley they didn't offer to sell it to us any cheaper!

Thanks fred, thats spot on over the top of my house.
I saw this one on Get mapping but I really wanted a closer up one.
I tried saving this one and zooming in but they're not stupid it comes out blurry so I emailed them and asked them if the actual image can be gotten closer by themselves and my answer didn't actually answer what I asked them. I emailed again and got a complete roundabout kind of answer and I gave up after the third attempt.

Thanks again though

You can still see a lot if you know where to look.

Start on the farm track which joins your lane, continue up your lane and curve to the east past the new house, you'll see the line continues as a faint ligter line on the other side of the A99.

That's the Wick Lybster railway that is.
