Nicola Sturgeon claims that an independent Scotland can afford the £billions that is needed to set up a Scottish spy network.

Can we afford it? Do we need it?

It seems a bit silly to me if they are there to work alongside the real MI5 and MI6, what's the point?

I think it will be vital to have a properly funded secret service to monitor the Scottish Special Branch and the Scottish Serious Crimes Squad, especially in their dealings with the Scottish Financial Services Authority and the new Scottish banks, including the RBS (Republican Bank of Scotland) and the HBOS (Holyrood Bank of Scotland). The Scottish Eurogroat Sterling will need careful monitoring too, as it will be constantly shifting between Euroland and the Bank of (all shudder) England. Also the Secret Service will be needed to look for subversion in the ranks of the re-formed Scottish Regiments, and backhanders to Thomas de la Rue, printers of Scottish stamps and Scottish banknotes for New Caledonia. But above all, the Scottish Secret Service (SSS) will be required to hunt down any remaining individual Tories still daring to live in the Republic, and showcasing them as scapegoats for anything that goes wrong. (Remember the motto of every nascent State "Every country needs a "they" to blame when things go wrong.")

Who's going to pay for all of this?

Easy. It all comes out of the oil money! For ever!

Where's Sean Connery living now? He can report in to MacM, from there, by Org personal message.

That's it isn't it? As a reward for his devotion to the SNP, Sean will be McM, how fitting with all his experience and that?

And of course, to overcome the accusation of his living in exile, Sean's residential position will be indemnified by the newly-formed Scottish Armed Forces taking the Bahamas by force, and making it Scotland's first Colony!
