Right on, Joxville, this one's going to upset the apple cart! Whilst agreeing with Winston that Scotland has got a gigantic score on the result sheet of invention, discovery, thinking and action of so many kinds, it still has to be said that Winston was a Tory - as in "bloated capitalist snatching crusts from the mouths of widows and orphans while chewing on the silver ladle in his mouth".

Maybe in the 18th century (We were in the UK then) when it was refered to as Scotlands Enlightenment. when we had men such as these Francis Hutcheson, Alexander Campbell, David Hume, Adam Smith, Dugald Stewart. Thomas Reid, Robert Burns, Adam Ferguson, John Playfair, Joseph Black and James Hutton, sadly we do not have the thinking men such as these now.

No, Green etc.: "Capitalists" are "Tories", and "Tories" is Scots language for someone in England who doesn't give the Scots everything they ask for immediately, and they are ALL pluted bloatocrats, widows and orphans, etc. Not ONE tory has ever done anything positive at all and they are ALL scum and it is SO good that Scotland has purged itself of nearly ALL tories who are no better than paediatricians! Well that's really upset my political understanding ! I thought a capitalist was someone who had memorised all the capitals of the world; a socialist was someone who spent most of their time with other people, most likely in parties or a pub somewhere; a communist was an upstanding member of the community; a nationalist was someone who thought they were so important they should have their own nation (even if it would end up being a fourth world country). I forget all the others. Suggestions welcome !
