International Links For Scrabster Harbour

Scrabster is to have it's status as an international ferry port restored after a ten year gap.Negotiations have been finalised to pave the way for a new summer service which will link the Scottish mainland with Norway, the Faroes and Iceland. The Scrabster harbour trust recently invested a six figure sum of money to enable super ferries to dock at the port. It's hoped the move might bring an influx of tourists to the area.

It's got to bring some much-needed through trade to Caithness, though - and whatever downside there is perceived to be................ that's life.
