I am new to the area (Castleton )and would like to buy a tv ..new or second hand and have it installed.

There are a couple of optians here first check out for sale site or free items on org also on face book you can get free or cheap tv,s also can you advise what set up there is just now eg does your home have a sky dish as you can get freeview through a settop box also fixm in thurso are handy to contact or ask someone to do a homer. i find there is always someone on the org who can help.
