On the 17th November seven students from KSD Martial Arts graded to 1st degree Black Belt including their youngest Black Belt Hazel Gunn who has been training at KSD Martial Arts since she was 4 years old.
Chief Instructor Sabumnim Vince Tait founded the club 10 years ago and has to date produced 25 black belts, on average it will take a student 5 years of hard work and commitment to reach the grade.
Vince said “The students have shown physical proficiency and demonstrated the personal traits of courtesy, humility, loyalty, and bravery. I am very proud of them all.”
The students, Gary Beardsley, Laura Doull, Alexander Gunn, Robyn Gunn, Hazel Gunn, Ryan Gunn, and Scott Lafferty are seen here with Sabumnim Vince Tait (KSD, Caithness) and Sensei Brian Mearns (Club Karate, Skye).
