Store ban after rowdy display
A WICK man who shouted and swore at a Tesco assistant after he refused to sell him alcohol, won’t be able to do his Christmas shopping at the store.
Stephen Gallacher, 42, was banned from the Wick branch after he admitted threatening or abusive conduct there. He had sentence deferred for six months, to allow him to demonstrate he can behave.
The court was told that Gallacher, of Battery Road, Wick, was under the influence of drink when he attempted to buy more, at the store on October 9.
Solicitor Neil Wilson said that his client was “thoroughly ashamed and embarrassed” and had made a point of returning to the store, subsequently, to apologise. The accused accepted that he had a drink problem. Gallacher has been banned from the store during the six-month behaviour test.
