We had THREE Power Cuts last night. None of them lasted too long with the longest about 25 minutes. Missed most of Question Time and This Week though.

There was a power cut. So what! It's not the end of the world. For those of us old enough to remember the 70's, a time of constant strikes and power cuts, a couple of hours without electricity is nothing. People are far too reliant on modern living that I wonder how some of them would survive without their tv, dishwasher or computers. People in underdeveloped countries would wonder why you get your knickers in a twist!

I can imagine the horror of young people, "You mean you expect us to have a real conversation with people instead of via Facebook or Twitter?" Keep candles handy and read a book.

Or take advantage of not having artificial light and go out and look at the night sky, you really aren't THAT important.
