Losing to Scorries "no disgrace" says beaten Formartine boss
THE boss of vanquished Formartine United has said that it was "no disgrace" to lose to Wick Academy.
Steve Paterson said he had few complaints about his team's failure to leapfrog the Scorries into top spot in the league table. Wick stay there after beating Formartine, 3-1, on Saturday.
He added: "They absolutely deserved to be at the top".
Academy's new boss Barry Wilson was delighted at the result although he said his side was "slack" at times.
Man of the match was Richard Macadie who opened the scoring for the Scorries. Gary Weir and Lukasz Geruzel completed the rout.
