Thurso man could lose his car as well as his licence
A THURSO drinks-driver could lose his car after being caught with more than three times the legal limit.
The prosecution made a motion for forfeiture, after Rory McCallum, 34, admitted the offence, appearing from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today.
McCallum, of Chalet 2, Juniper Bank, Thurso, was found to have a breath-alcohol level of 113mgs – the legal limit is 35mgs - after he was stopped by police in the town’s Princes Street, yesterday.
The accused was granted bail and will return for sentence on November 30 when Sheriff Andrew Berry will see a background report and rule on the application for forfeiture.
