Whooper Swans

I noticed two fairly large groups of Whooper Swans yesterday in the higher fields on the B874 Halkirk to Glengolly Road. Probably about 200 strong in total. (a guess).

Quite a few of them on St. John's Loch just now. It's lovely to hear them especially at night.

Been several pockets around the county these last 2 weeks, you know winter is on it's way when they arrive!
