I thought it would be cool to have a little thread where musicians could indulge us with pictures of their favorite guitar, drums, keyboard, bagpipes whatever or maybe a picture of you playing?

Here are my babies .........

Nice kit Deemac, I kind of figured out who you were too when I saw it and the name. I remember when you used to play with Phil Humphries and Lorna Budge, Tommy Robertson et al and there was two drummers, didn't you have an electric kit? And I think the band was Mercury no?

To post a picture you need ot have it on some webspace somewhere and copy the link for it, then when your writing your message there is an icon in the wysiwyg menu for posting an image, click on that it looks like a picture in a frame then paste in your URL.

Thats a good old style setup, I like it, is it a Pearl kit? Reminds me of some of the beat bands and jazz band set ups. Cool!

Its a Pearl kit i have but thats just Pearl toms, a really really old Carlton bass drum and either a Ludwig or a Premier snare (cant quite see it!) Think it'll be Premier. and some Zildjains. All set up very low.

Looks like a rite piece of junk next to Dee Macs gleemin' signia!I always wanted a kit pretty much identical to that when i was younger.Colour, Brand, set-up, everything!Too many drums on it for me now tho!ha!

Jeemag,
You have a good memory. (I've not placed you as yet . . . .)

Lorna was the singer after Phil left the band. (Mercury became Roadworks)Unfortunately the other drummer Pete Keddy died a few years ago (one of the best). The only gigging two drummer band I've played in not counting the Bleached Parrot (Free Jazz band). I still play with Tommy these days in a wedding band called Whisky. Most gigged band I've ever been with!!

PS: Electric kit was a Simmons SDS9 (still got it in the loft!!):confused

Zebedy I love that Ibanez SG, that is a sweet guitar.

boysintheband, thanks for the explanation, its not what you have got its how much you love it that counts!

Dunc, I remember watching you in that Rock Pub that Scapa had for a while, I forgot its name now, I remember all the blackl paint and neon lights, I could have sworn Phil was on stage, I was probably drunk. I saw you play in the ONe UP also.

You don't know me too well though we have net a few times through mutual acquaintences. I remember Pete Keddy, I think he may have been the drummer who played at my wedding with Donnie and Ian Sinclair? I will ask Donnie. If its the same guy he was a topper of a bloke, I know I know him.

Yeah, if you were like me and fifteen. Being over the age of 21 and still playing Enter Sandman, however... ach, am only teasin'. The Moonshine was a toilet of the highest calibre.

LOL! You seem to have a thing about 'Enter Sandman'! Your memory is playing tricks on you too....I've never played that song in ANY of the bands I've been in. Even so, 15 years ago that song was as relevant and 'modern' as any other.

But it's OK, if you're just "teasin'", I suppose. ;)
