Does anyone know how many people in Caithness died from Spanish Flue? I heard it spoken about as a child, and my grandmother did speak about WW1 but she never mentioned anyone she knew having had it or died from it. I have been watching a program about health care before the NHS, and apparently it swept the country.

no one would have died of Spanish Flue, but some may have died of Spanish Flu ;)

Sounds like some awful illness that would require cleaning up some rather unpleasant places?

when I was young (many years ago) I heard someone speaking about a flue brush and thought it was for clearing your tubes if you had the flu!
