His contract says he is still the Academy manager, say club

WICK Academy are seeking talks with runaway manager Davie Kirkwood in bid to clear the air over his contractural intentions.
Kirkwood defected to derby rivals Brora, in a shock move, at the weekend, and took in the Sutherland side’s away game with Lossiemouth and saw his new team off to a 3-1 winning start.
In a brief statement today, Academy secretary, Alan Farquhar said they would be getting in touch with Kirkwood for a meeting and stressed that the ex-Glasgow Rangers player and Ross County coach was still the Scorries manager according to the terms of his contract. It is bound to raise the question of compensation.
Brora is understood to have made an offer which has been rejected by Academy which is looking for 10 times that amount.
Wick assistant manager, Richard Hughes and club stalwart Pat Miller have taken charge of the team meantime.
