mini DV head on video cassette player is chewing tapes

Hi. I have a 10 year old JVC H-DVS2EK mini DV/S-VHS video cassette recorder. It has started chewing on the mini DV tapes. From searching on the internet, I guess the heads/pinch roller/capstan need cleaning. I don't want to touch it myself, in case I make things worse. Can anyone recommend a professional locally (Wick/Thurso) that would have a look/clean it, rather than me have it sent away at great expense? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I have hundreds of tapes that I can no longer watch, all of great sentimental value. Thank you.

i suspect you've tried/already got a cleaner tape?
