Accused alleged to have refused tests and identification request

A WICK man, accused of road traffic offences, has had his car impounded by the town’s sheriff court pending the outcome of the case.
Naceer Ahmed (42) appeared from custody, today, and denied all three counts.
These accuse him of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, failing to identify the driver of the car and failing to provide two specimens of breath. The offences are alleged to have been committed in Argyle Square, Wick, and at the town’s police station, on Saturday.
Ahmed, of 34 Argyle Square, Wick, was given bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry, who granted a petition submitted by senior fiscal depute, David Barclay for temporary seizure of the accused’s vehicle.
Ahmed will return to court for his trial on October 31.
