Hi can anyone point me in the correct preferably cheapest direction.

I'm looking to buy Argon gas for my new welder but I either have to own a bottle or rent one at an extortionate rate.

Any pointers on avoiding the rental or knowing someone who will part with a bottle please let me know.

Thanks

You would be better buying the bottle from who ever is going to be filling it up because that bottle will have to have a record of getting serviced and tested and who ever is filling the bottle up for u will keep u right.
If u buy a an argon bottle second hand and you might have a job getting someone to fill it up

i bought a bottle off a bloke on Ebay when i last used argon, paid him £10 for the bottle and just took it into BOC in St.Helens to get it filled. Didn't have a problem then but dont know if they have tightened procedures now
