Excellent piece by Dan Mackay in the groat on line, on Wicks Ray Bremner, recently made an OBE ( Ramsey the Raconteur ) repeating a few raconteur writings / characters featured in the Groat mid 70's. It would be a great idea if this material could be re produced, perhaps a small run "book", as the guy was / is brilliantly talented : see http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/ray-bremner to thjose who "knew" him, the guy is still recognisable after all these years, and a wee bit of weeker still in his voice.
Speaking on the enbviroment, "One comment that really drove the point home was that of Ray Bremner (Senior VP, Unilever Japan) when he commented on the world living beyond its means. Specifically, “the developed world is living on three planets…the world as a whole is living on one and a half planets, but as far as I know we’ve only got one planet”. That is a powerful statement. Thats Ray telling it as it is !
