DOG WALKERS/HORSE OWNERS AT THURSO EAST
Went to my horse today to find his walkway gate, and his own gate wide open. Luckily, he is a total greedy guts and was happily grazing in the long grass in the walkway, but had his friend been there, I'm sure they would've both been loose. I do not know how the gates came to be open, but I can only guess someone walked through the field, without properly closing the gates behind them (perhaps they didn't see there was a horse in there?)
Anyway, I can only ask anyone up at Thurso East, whether walking dogs or seeing to their horses, PLEASE ensure the gates are all securely shut as found. I was lucky this time, but I dread to think what could have happen if my horse had wandered. Please leave gates as they are found, for the safety of not only the animals, but to the public too.
