Thurso Gala Photo Competition 2012 Terms & Conditions
• This competition has two age categories, under 16 and 16 and over. For the under 16 category, entrants must be aged 15 or younger on the date the photograph was taken.
• You must provide Thurso Town Improvements Association (TTIA) with your name, address, age group and telephone number if you wish to enter this competition (this can be sent as a message to Thurso Galas Facebook page if you submit your entry by this method) or with your photograph if submitting via E-mail address info@thurso.org . TTIA and Thurso Camera Club (TCC) will only use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition and will not publish them to anyone without your permission.
• Each entry must have a title and state which Thurso Gala 2012 event it was taken at. Only two images per event shall be allowed by entrants – Please feel free to enter images of more than one event.
• The deadline for receiving entries is 5pm on Wednesday 15th August 2012. Results will be announced in the local press and media plus TTIA website.
• If you are under 16 years of age, you must obtain your parent or guardian’s permission before entering the competition.
• The prizes shall consist of trophies for the 1st placed entries in each age group & the Mario Luciani Trophy shall be presented to the best overall in the whole competition (to be returned on request prior to next year’s event). 2nd and 3rd placed entries will receive a certificate.
• The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
• By submitting your photograph to TTIA you agree to grant them, free of charge, the right to publish the photograph online and in all media as required.
• By submitting your photograph to TTIA you agree to your name being published in relation to photograph online and in all media as required.
• Your entry must be entirely your own original work, not defame anyone or breach copyright.
• This competition is not open to professional photographers or anyone involve in the running of the competition, or their immediate family members.
• TTIA reserve the right to disqualify any entry which breaches any of these rules or which may be considered to bring TTIA or TCC into disrepute.
