paint on carpet and sofa?

I really need some advice please, I went to put paint in my paint pad, and the whole lot fell on my floor covering my floor and my fabric sofa in white paint, this wounldnt bother me so much if it was easily hidden as i am getting a new carpet at the end of next month. :( any advice on how to get it out?

Is it emulsion?
Scrape up the worst working into the puddle.
and lots of rags and lots of soapy water...working in to the middle.
If not claim on the insurance.....its too difficult to get it out without discolouring everything!
IF you can get your hands on a carpet cleaner (rug doctor etc) quicky it might help.

This is funny, god i would be freaking if that was me! i only have it a little bit and aint hard to move my sofa out a little and cover it up but i would rather it gone haha
