The Natural Retreats people at John o'Groats were advertising for a RIB skipper, I think they're going to be doing a similar thing but don't think it's up and running yet.

The rib boat in Wick is still operating. I saw it in the bay yesterday. Sorry I don`t have the sailing times. There`s the portacabin at the harbour with a notice board though.

The one from John o Groats is no longer operating as has been covered. The good news is the one in Wick that operates from the marina is operating and it is absolutely great. My youngest Son and my Granddaughter, me and my OH went last year and we/ them were absolutely thrilled to bits. i have been on the old one a few times, and have to say that it was good: but with just one engine it was always going to be a problem if anything went wrong.

Caithness Seacoast operates their rib every day from Wick Harbour. See the web site for full details at http://www.caithness-seacoast.co.uk/

(http://www.caithness-seacoast.co.uk/)The boat they use has two engines and is very stable. Its a combination of fun fast ride with the wildlife thrown in or scenic views of cliffs and castles depending on the direction or the trip you go on.

Definitely worth doing if you get the chance.
