does anyone have any details for clubs for kids to join.
my daughter is in first year of high school & looking for something like the guides to join but i can't find any info on how to go about it, so help needed to help a bored kid & a stressed out mum, please!

Not sure what she wants to do but there is always the Duke of Edinburgh Award. They can do a service to community, personal development and such like and when she is older it will look good on a CV and help with her personal statement for university the award can be done around own interests or hobbies too. You need to contact local Community Learning and Liesure Dept of the council for details. Lots of young people are setting up their own activities so if she has any good ideas she should persue them herself, this will help her confidence grow aswell

There is loads to do. Apart fro the guides & Scouts there are the Air Cadets Sea Cadets Army Cadet Force. Or how about the theatre thurso players junior meet every Friday ( not at the moment its PANTO 12 - 16 Dec. High School). then swimming club and various marshal arts groups and so on ...
