Yes and I believe there's actually one of them that walked past one of the original Drifters 40 years ago in the group.

Actually smithp a lot of those groups have constantly rolled over their membership as singers have aged and younger ones have come in to replace them - often family members. I've seen the Drifters here in California at an "Oldies" show, along with Brian Hyland ("Itsy-bitsy Teeny-weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini"), The Big Bopper's son doing his dad's material, Chuck Rio ("Tequila") and a bunch of others. Besides the fact the haar rolled in halfway through the (outdoor) show and we all nearly got hypothermia, it was great.
