Did you see the woolly hats in Sir Johns Square this weekend? Did you wonder what was going on? They were there as part of Knit in Public Day, an annual event that takes place all over the world. The idea behind this "yarn-bombing" (decorating public places with knitted items for a short period of time) was to show that knitting isn't just something that grannies do - it can be fun too! If you took photos over the weekend (or if you "liberated" one of the hats!) then we would love to see the pictures - you can add them to our facebook group "Thurso Yarnbombing" (link here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/151622394962610/ ). If you took a hat away we would love to see what it is doing now!

Hopefully the hats (and bow ties) brought a smile to your face. Look out for more yarnbombing for Knit in Public Day next year!
