Looking for some advice - my son would like an iPod for his 10th birthday, however I don't know anything about them. Is a 8GB 4th generation ok or is it better having the 32?Many thanks

For a 10 year old I'm sure 8GB will be more than enough. Just how much media can a kid of that age of accumulated, doubt very much it will be anywhere near 8GB.

With an 8GB memory he'd be able to store around 1000 mp3s! That's a lot of music for anyone to listen to - never mind a 10yr old!!!

8G is soon used up with music, apps and photos. I gave mine to my wife who is addicted to the Sudoku app and got the 32G version.

My 10 year old has a 8GB one and it does her fine. She has various apps and music and still loads left.
