Thurso man was "overly robust" in putting him out of the house

A THURSO man took exception to a party guest wandering into one of the bedrooms and put him out of his house, Wick Sheriff Court was told today.
It led to a struggle and Kevin Angus being charged with a breach of the peace at his home at 14 Trostan Terrace, Thurso.
Senior fiscal depute, David Barclay, said it was the manner in which Angus had ejected Stephen Mackay that had led to the police becoming involved.
Angus, 31, pleaded guilty to a substantially reduced charge and admitted a number of previous convictions. H was ordered to carry out 45 hours of unpaid community work.
Solicitor Neil Wilson explained that Angus had taken the action he did after he discovered Mr Mackay entering the same bedroom for a second time, but conceded that the accused had been “a shade overly robust” in putting Mr Mackay out of the house.
Sheriff Andrew Berry referred to the accused’s record and warned him that any slightly more serious offending in the future could warrant a custodial sentence.
