Hi There
Wonder if anyone can give me some help.I have an AMD Athlon xp3000+ 2.17ghz,512mb ram.The graphics card is goosed,it was an ATI radeon 9800se agp in a MSI MS-6775 motherboard.I was looking at an NVIDIA GEFORCE 7800gs and was wondering if it would work with my psu which has a maximum output of 250w or would i have to upgrade the psu as well.

Big Thanks

Your system, allowing for single HDD, DVDRW & floppy drives with a sound card would draw about 220W max. If you have a good PSU eg Tagan, Enermax or Seasonic etc then would suffice just! If you have a nameless box then probably isn't near the rated 250W. Either way I'd get a new one.

Hammers, I have that card and she is a cracker, but be aware she is a BIG card, make sure you have plenty room in the tower for it. If you have anything installed inline with the AGP slot there could be problems.

Also, the card recommends at least 350W, but go 500W minimum.
